The Nairobi Hospital Board has appointed Barcley Onyambu the new chairman.
In a communication by the company secretary seen by the Star, the hospital said the appointment will mark a fresh chapter in leadership focused on strengthening governance and ethical standards.
The statement states that Onyambu is a seasoned obstetrician and gynecologist with extensive experience in healthcare governance.
He has been a board member since 2024 and has chaired key committees, including Human Resources, Infrastructure, and Audit and Risk.
It adds that he holds a Master of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynecology and has advanced training in healthcare management from Strathmore University.
The Nairobi Hospital said that his appointment reflects the Board’s commitment to continuous improvement and upholding the highest standards in healthcare delivery.
The Board extended gratitude to the immediate former Chairman, Chris M. N. Bichage, for his dedicated service and leadership over the past year and a half.
