The politico had breached protocol and spent the night in a suburb that is a few kilometres away from the busy airport and away from where the delegation was booked. The politician switched off his phone for hours and his frustrated handlers could not locate him. There are rumours the man, known for his love for the bottle, might have gone on a wild binge that left him unable to catch the flight. This is not the first time the man has been left behind in his travels. He was caught in a similar situation last year.
