Ruto makes more parastatal appointments, revokes others

President appointed two former MPs and Uhuru's ex-CS for state jobs

President William Ruto has made new appointments in various parastatals in the country to fully form the government. 

Through a gazette notice dated April 6, 2023, the President appointed two former MPs and one ex-cabinet secretary under retired President Uhuru Kenyatta's administration. 

Adan Mohammed, who was the East African Community CS, he will now chairman of the Board of Directors of the Kenya Leather Development Council. 

His appointment will be for a period of three (3) years, with effect from April 5, 2023. 

Adan takes over from Francis Munywoki, whose appointment has been revoked. 

Another notable appointment is former Wajir West MP Ahmed Kolosh Mohamed who is now the chairperson of the Kenya Roads Board. 

"The appointment will run for a period of three(3) years," the gazette notice stated. 

Samuel Sakita Kutata who unsuccessfully ran for the Kajiado South parliamentary seat in the August 9, 2022 polls has also landed a job in the Kenya Kwanza government. 

Besides failing to secure the MP post, Kutata also unsuccessfully applied for the position of Chief Administrative Secretary.

Ruto announced that Kutata will now be the chair of the Ewaso Ngiro South River Basin Development Authority, for a period of three (3) years. 

His appointment with effect from April 5, 2023.
