The Orange Democratic Movement now claims that Mathare MP Anthony Oluoch has been moved to Karuri Police Station in Kiambu County.

The MP was arrested by police on Thursday evening while he was fuelling his car at a petrol station near Nakumatt Junction on Ngong Road.

"Mathare MP Hon. Antony Oluoch has been driven into Karuri Police Station in Kiambu County. Just a few minutes ago, in a bid to shake off his family, friends and colleagues," ODM official Philip Etale said.

Oluoch has been held at Kiambu police station since his arrest and was expected to be charged on Monday.

The decision to move him to Karuri police station according to officials is to avoid crowds of his supporters and family outside the station.

On Friday, Oluoch and three city MCA were grilled at DCI headquarters before they were taken away to separate police cells ahead of their arraignment.

Police said that the four individuals are among politicians who have been mobilising youths to cause the chaos witnessed in parts of the capital city.

They include Antony Oluoch, MP for Mathare Constituency in Nairobi, Peter Owera, MCA Huduma Ward and Peter Imwatok Jateso, the MCA for Makongeni Ward, as well as his personal assistant Victor Obel.

The four are accused of dishing out money to young people to lure them to the demonstrations.

Nairobi Members of County Assembly allied to Azimio on Friday condemned what they termed as the ethnic profiling taking place in the capital city and Nyanza.

The MCAs in a statement said the current crackdown across the county and the entire nation poses a serious threat to the very fabric of the Kenyan nation.

Majority Whip Moses Ogeto expressed concern that the crackdown has been concentrated in slums and other low-income areas of the county where the so-called hustlers, in whose name and interests the Kenya Kwanza regime claims to govern live.
