Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has hit back at UDA Secretary General Cleophas Malala following his warning to leaders engaging in early political campaign activities.
Just minutes after Malala released the presser, Sudi issued a veiled remark on the statement through his X account.
Malala had also criticised some Cabinet Secretaries, for participating in political activities despite the law requiring them to remain apolitical.
"It has come to my attention that some Cabinet Secretaries have been involving themselves in political activities, contrary to the law which requires them to remain apolitical," he said.
Addressing the press Wednesday morning at JKIA upon his return from a working trip to China, Malala went on to say should the Cabinet Secretaries feel the need to engage in politics actively, they must resign from the public offices they hold.
He insisted that their focus should be on serving the people of Kenya at all times.
While singling out the leaders who included Sudi, Malala termed their recent conduct as not only undermining the party’s unity but also disrespects the leadership that they pledged to serve.
“Let this be a stern warning, desist from such actions with immediate effect. Should this behaviour persist, the party will take disciplinary actions against you,” he said.
