Kenyans have spoken strongly over the high cost of living in the country, giving their sentiments on what they would have changed had they been the president today.
Speaking separately to the Star, the citizens responded vehemently in our vox pop where we asked "If you were President today, what will you do to lower the cost of living?"
This is what they had to say;
"If today I was made the President of Kenya first of all I would reduce the number of political seats and make the 47 counties provinces and then have different cabinet secretaries for each province," Bertrand Mussuko, a businessman said.
"I'd also make sure that the basic commodities like flour, bread and milk are affordable for the common mwananchi since the government cannot offer job opportunities for all."
Another Kenyan named Wilson had this to say "If I could be the President of Kenya today I would first close all the loopholes of corruption, save and invest that money in job creation."
"Additionally, I would lower the cost of commodities like fuel because once the price of fuel is high that means that the price of everything else also goes high. Wilson said.
