President William Ruto on Tuesday attended the inauguration of his Ghanaian counterpart John Mahama, at the Black Star Square in Accra.
The president’s attendance was through a special invitation by Mahama during his trip to Kenya on December 29, 2024.
Mahama won the presidential election in December with 56 per cent of the vote, defeating Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, who earned 41 per cent.
Ruto will hold talks with President Mahama on key areas of mutual interest and cooperation.
The areas include trade, energy, oil, textiles, agriculture, and diplomatic relations.
Local and international leaders were among those in attendance.
