Interior PS Raymond Omollo on Wednesday morning flagged off land cruisers that will support border security operations during patrols.
The vehicles were received as a donation from the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
“PS Dr. Raymond Omollo, alongside IOM Chief of Mission Ms. Sharon Dimanche, officially flagged off Land Cruiser vehicles donated by IOM to support border security operations between Nairobi and Nadapal, Turkana County,” a statement from the ministry said.
Omollo is also the Chairman of the Border Control and Operations Coordinating Committee (BCOCC).

Present were officials from the Border Management Secretariat (BMS).
The handover marks a significant boost to border security operations, enhancing coordination, mobility, surveillance, and rapid response capabilities.
“The partnership between BMS and IOM continues to play a crucial role in enhancing Kenya’s border security and governance.
“It has contributed to key initiatives, including training 395 frontline border officers in collaboration with the Kenya School of Government and hosting the first-ever National Border Management Conference.”
