Consumers in Kenya can how have access to two new multivitamins.
This is after Bayer East Africa’s Consumer Health Division introduced its Supradyn brand in Kenya.
Two multivitamin brands; Supradyn Immuno Triple Action and Supradyn Boost were launched simultaneously in Nairobi for consumers to supplement their dietary vitamins and minerals.
Both products target the upward urban professionals, families and physical enthusiasts, who are keen on filling nutrition gaps.
In Kenya, a growing middle class with increasing disposable income has resulted in a higher spending power and a willingness to invest in health and wellness products.
Additionally, the country has a young and growing population, which is more aware of the importance of preventive healthcare.
Additionally, the increasing penetration of e-commerce in the region has made dietary supplements more accessible, encouraging more Kenyans to seek affordable and effective nutritional solutions.
Speaking during the launch of the brands in Nairobi, Senior Brand Manager Southern East Africa Bayer Consumer Health Nompumelelo Thwala said the launch of the brand in Kenya was aimed at addressing the growing health needs of consumers and giving them options for selfcare to meet their health and nutritional needs.
She said the company will roll out a 12-month’s consumer awareness campaign dubbed “Go Beyond” in shopping malls and stores in Nairobi and other urban centers to increase product awareness, drive consumer engagement, boost sales and support market penetration.
The campaign will also be promoted via digital media and e-commerce platforms.
Studies indicate that common micronutrient deficiencies in Kenya include iron, vitamin A, and zinc—deficiencies that Supradyn products are well-positioned to address.
The launch of Supradyn aligns with the country’s evolving consumer needs and the broader trend towards proactive health management.
Beyond its role in promoting individual health, the Supradyn launch also holds significant implications for public health in Kenya.
Bayer’s initiative is expected to complement ongoing efforts by government and non-governmental organisations which are actively working to improve nutrition and reduce malnutrition rates among vulnerable populations.
