In Summary

  • We have seen the likes of DAP-K party leader Eugene Wamalwa, former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka and now they have been joined by an impeached person.
  • It is the same formations that have been here for a while.

The political formations emerging for 2027 are not anything that is giving us sleepless nights, at least at this time when there is a lot of work to do towards delivering ‘The Plan’ as guided by our party leader, President William Ruto.

The groups mobilising politically comprise of people who are dancing to the tune of the perception that the die is cast for Kenya Kwanza’s future.

Their take is misplaced in all dimensions. However, for an electoral process, the formations are justified and are in sync with the tenets of our vibrant democracy, as guaranteed by our constitution and other electoral rights.

The grand question Kenyans should ask themselves is, what is new in all these groupings apart from their early attempts to raise political temperatures? For starters, all those people who have come together to counter William Ruto, we have seen them before.

We have seen the likes of DAP-K party leader Eugene Wamalwa, former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka and now they have been joined by an impeached person.

It is the same formations that have been here for a while.

All leaders are justified to mobilise their regions but it should be noticeable that the President is busy mobilising the whole country to rally behind his development agenda and legacy plans.

We are fully aware that an election is coming but we are also seized of the fact that the work Kenyans gave us comes first.

When that time (for election) comes, the President will mobilise the masses towards his political cause. It is still early to get into the political exchanges that characterise campaigns.

The President and all of us in Kenya Kwanza are focused on delivering what we promised Kenyans. Those who have nothing to off er are mobilising.

Those groups - of Wamunyoro and the other coalitions touted to counter Kenya Kwanza - have nothing to offer. We are not scared of them at all.
