The Kenya Police FC begin their FKF cup title defence against Division II side Superior Hotels with a historic double on sight.

The on-form law enforcers under Burundian head coach Etienne Ndayiragije will be looking to maintain their 14-match unbeaten run, with the hoteliers from Mt Kenya region out to hand him second loss since falling to AFC Leopards on January 12, 2025, in a league match.

Ndayiragije whose side tops the FKF premier league table are chasing a double and will likely rest his best as the season enters a critical stage.

“Every team steps on the pitch to win and we will be going for a victory over our opponents, they may be a lower-tier side but we have to respect them and play for a win,” said Ndayiragije.

 Meanwhile, KO’gallo’s rivals AFC Leopards will entertain Division II club Dero FC. 

The Siaya-based side will be hoping for a better outing having fallen 15-0 to Ingwe in another 2017 knockout clash.

Last season's finalists KCB will play Chemogoch FC under new coach Patrick Odhiambo as they hope to go all the way and grab their first-ever domestic silverware.

The bankers fell 8-7 on penalty shootoutst following a goalless draw in regulation and extra time at the Ulinzi Sports Complex on Saturday 29th June.

Other fixtures will see Tusker FC welcome Gucha Youth, as Spitfire FC battle Kariobangi Shark, while Bandari will play Rwafa FC.  

 Kakamega Homeboyz will welcome TBM Health as Shabana plays Solian City while  Gituru FC battles Murang'a Seals.

The round of 64 knockout gets underway this weekend, followed by the Round of 32 on  March 8–9.

The first tournament under the new FKF  management led by president Hussein Mohammed will provide underdogs with the opportunity to challenge Kenya’s top-flight giants,  with a trophy,  Sh 2 million and a  2025/2026 CAF Confederation slot  at stake.
