An Infotrak opinion poll released on July 13, 2026 shows Deputy President Kithure Kindiki as the leading choice to deputise President William Ruto in the broad-based government, with 34 per cent support.
Kindiki holds a significant lead over Homa Bay Governor Gladys Wanga, who garnered 11 per cent.
Oburu Odinga follows with five per cent, while former Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho received four per cent.
Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru was preferred by three per cent of respondents, while Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula each attracted two per cent support.
Kisii Governor Simba Arati registered one per cent, while other nominees, including Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi and Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale, shared 0.4 per cent.
The poll also found that 37 per cent of respondents were either unsure or did not know whom they would prefer as Ruto’s running mate.
The findings suggest that while Kindiki enjoys a clear advantage, a substantial portion of the electorate remains undecided on the deputy presidential question.

The survey, released on Monday, showed Ruto leading the race.
