KANU party has announced the release of its digital Communications Officer Cornelius Ronoh following an allegation of abduction. 

Ronoh was allegedly abducted on Monday evening outside a barber shop near Nyayo Gate B in Fedha, Embakasi East

In a statement, KANU said Ronoh was released after being held incommunicado since Monday evening.

"We are relieved to confirm that Cornelius Ronoh has been freed. Ronoh was abandoned near Kiambu Road and is currently undergoing a medical checkup to assess his condition,"  Kanu said in a statement.

According to KANU, Ronoh is an active digital political commentator who has become the newest victim of alleged abductions of people.

"We extend our sincere gratitude to Kenyans for their overwhelming solidarity and support during this difficult time. However, we strongly condemn these brazen acts of kidnapping and intimidation. We urge the relevant authorities to cease such unlawful detentions and uphold the rights and freedoms of all citizens," the statement read.
